The River City Star riverboat is Omaha's only riverboat that regularly sails the river.
Just North of downtown Omaha, the River City Star docks at our very own landing facility - the River City Yacht Club.
The River City Star riverboat is available for reserved private charters and for public cruises throughout our cruise season, typically from early April thru mid-October.
The riverboat is capable of cruising at any time of the day or night, or even for extended multi day rentals.
There is a strict limit of 135 passengers for the riverboat. This number is obtained from United States Coast Guard regulations, and cannot be changed without new certification by the Coast Guard. This number includes both adults and children.
The lower level of the River City Star is a fully enclosed room with plenty of sightseeing windows and access to our front and rear outdoors lower decks.
Features include a full bar with tap and bottled beer, fountain soda pop, and a full selection of wine and spirits.
The deck also includes the primary seating area, as well as sets of his and hers restrooms.
The upper deck of the River City Star features an open air party deck complete with an overhead canopy and safety side rails.
Tables include patio-style seating across the entire area, with a bow (the boat's front) capable of accommodating a band.
The deck also features the captain's sailing cabin - a favorite area for the kids to enjoy watching a real riverboat captain ply his trade!
The River City Star's main lower deck is fully handicap accessible.
Our landing area features a gradual paved ramp that we regularly use for both wheelchair access, and for the use of our golf carts to ferry individuals from our main landing area to the riverboat. This ramp is wide enough to accomodate the large fuel trucks that refill our riverboat each day.
The riverboat itself is accessed by way of our boarding barges and boarding ramp, both of which can easily accomodate wheel chairs and walkers.
